We have designed our process based on two decades worth of trial and error (a lot of the latter).
The aim is to give you (and us) a framework for making an educated and informed decision about working together.
Of equal importance, you will finish this process, irrespective of whether we decide to work together, knowing exactly where you stand in the three key areas of retirement success.
There is no cost or obligation for going through the first 5 steps of this process as we want you to know exactly how we can help you before you pay us a single penny in fees or trust us with your nest egg.
Retire with confidence using our unique 7-step process
Step 1 - 15 minute discovery call
This call gives us both a chance to make sure your situation matches our expertise. After all, you wouldn’t see a Cardiologist if you needed foot surgery.
The call is free of charge and completely without commitment from either side.
If at the end of the call, we find that we aren’t the right people to help you, we will happily point you to the right expert for your unique needs.
Step 2 - First full meeting
If we’ve both decided we’re a good fit after our discovery call, the next step is a full meeting.
As with all our meetings, this will be conducted virtually via Zoom Meeting (you don’t have to leave your home or office).
You will receive a simple checklist of what information to gather beforehand.
During this one-hour meeting, we’ll get a clearer picture of your current financial situation, and dig into the questions that brought you to us in the first place.
Step 3 - Analysis
We will apply 20+ years of experience and thousands of hours of training to answer three critical questions for you:
1. Can you afford to retire?
2. Can your portfolio be improved?
3. Can you eliminate, or at least reduce threats to your retirement?
Step 4 - Recommendations meeting
During this meeting, we will explain, in plain English, exactly what you need to do to achieve your financial goals, including the answers to the three questions above.
This is also where we will provide you with the full picture of how we would work together, including the associated costs of doing so.
Step 5 - Sleep on it
With more than 20 years of experience, we are aware of just how important making the right plan for retirement is. Therefore, prior to deciding if we should work together, we will encourage you to “sleep on it.”
We want you to answer these questions for yourself:
* Do I like/trust/respect the team?
* Will the benefits and value they provide exceed their cost?
* Do I feel confident that their advice will help me live my life to the fullest in retirement?
* Did they answer all of my initial questions clearly and thoroughly?
* Do I understand and agree with their investment philosophy?
We will follow-up within a few days to determine how you would like to move forward.
If you decide that we aren’t a good fit to work together, we will not take it personally. In fact, we will wish you the best and help you find someone who might be a better fit. There is never a hard-sell or pressure to say yes.
Step 6 - Implementation
During this meeting, we will cover all of the steps needed to implement your retirement plan.
Step 7 - Ongoing service
Finally, after completing the onboarding process we’ll begin our regular review process, where we’ll meet at least two times annually.
